Padideh Shimi Gharb is proud to highlight a major sustainability achievement at its Zanjan production site, an initiative aligned with Iran’s national water management priorities. Leveraging in-house expertise and collaboration with leading knowledge-based companies, the company has developed and implemented advanced technical solutions for the treatment and recycling of sulfonation wastewater. All processes are conducted in full compliance with environmental standards.
A dedicated wastewater treatment facility at the Zanjan site performs both physical and chemical purification processes. In the initial phase, the treated water is reused in operations where lower water quality is sufficient. As the project progresses, the recycled water will be integrated into higher-grade processes, including production lines.
Today, the Zanjan site operates with zero wastewater discharge. In coordination with the industrial estate authorities and the Department of Environment, all outflow to municipal sewage systems has been completely halted, and 100% of the wastewater is recycled and reused within the facility.
